Femi O. Ogunshakin


Starting his tax career with HM Revenue & Customs in 1988, Femi specialised in tax investigations before transferring his skills to private practice with a move to KPMG in 1997. This was soon followed by stints with Deloittes, Grant Thornton and senior roles within the Group Tax functions of United Biscuits, Standard Bank and Barclays Bank.

Taking time a sabbatical from the tax profession in 2009, Femi embarked on a training contract with Mayflower Solicitors, a West Midlands based law firm and qualified as a solicitor in April 2011 fulfilling a long held desire to set up a consulting vehicle from which he and his colleagues could provide professional services to clients.

In addition to his role as a Tax Adviser with Loftus Stowe, Femi is also a practising solicitor, and is a Consultant Solicitor to number of law firms, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Femi is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales, the Liverpool Law Society, the Employment Lawyers Association and is regularly presents on tax topical issues.

Jikoa C. Monu


Jikoa started his legal career at Jim McKenzie Solicitors a company/commercial practice in Hampstead in North London. A major client was Mercury Communications an American mobile phone network company formed to challenge the then monopoly of British Telecom (BT). Jikoa’s experience at this firm equipped him with litigation skills in insolvency matters and knowledge of civil court process, and the ability to strategize and leverage legal negotiations.

Qualifying as a solicitor in 1997, Jikoa added probate, will drafting, estate planning, enduring/lasting power of attorney and deputyships to his skill set together with commercial and residential conveyancing and commercial agreement drafting/dispute handling. In 2002, Jikoa started his own firm: Humphrey Williams Solicitors in London where, as senior partner of this practice, Jikoa had overall management responsibility for 15 staff and three qualified lawyers.

A modern entrepreneurial lawyer, Jikoa joined Loftus Stowe in 2014, adding his skills to the multi-disciplinary approach the firm adopts in looking after its clients, providing a more robust delivery of services. Jikoa remains a practising solicitor, with Consultancy roles with London based law firms authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Authorisation Authority.
