Air passenger duty (APD) for children under 12 on economy travel is to be abolished from 1st May 2015.
What does this mean?
This means that some passengers who booked and paid for flights, for children aged two to eleven, that depart on or after 1st May 2015 are due a refund.
What should I do now?
If you booked a flight for a child aged two to eleven that departs on or after 1st May 2015, you need to check whether you paid APD. If you did you can claim a refund for the amount from the airline or travel agent.
Happy Holidays!
